HI everyone, I hope that each and everyone one of you had a safe, healthy and happy Christmas and New Years and that maybe you got a chance to sit and do some of your crafts.
I have to apologize for a couple of things, I am still new to the blogging idea and I am not sure how to fix some of the things on the site - like all the extra space in the right hand column (big sigh).
And I also have to apologize to Ally in Saudia Arabia for not answering her e-mail in a timely fashion. I have switched to yahoo for my e-mails, so the new e-mail address for the blog is stitchingweezie "at sign" yahoo.ca
The holidays were quiet yet busy for me. There are a couple of things that I want to share with you. First, I am going on a stitching cruise organized by Sue Hillis - I am so excited, I have looked forward to this for a very long time. I will tell you all about it when I get back. However it might be a little while before I post everything because I have to have some surgery - so I will be out of touch for a bit.
Until the next time, I wish each of you all the best for the new year - a mountain of love from your family and friends and of course enough stash in your craft pile to enjoy.
Hugs
Louise
Jaxon was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) 5 days after his second birthday (Feb 2011). His mother told me that Jaxon is the seventh (7th) child in Canada to be diagnosed with this rare disease. I am his great-aunt Louise and I come up with the idea of this blog to keep people informed, and to use my passion for stitching to raise money for the FOP organizations.

Diana's Tooth Fairy Pillow
Shortly before Christmas, I received a wonderful surprise, in the mail that day was a small parcel containing a cute little Tooth Fairy Pillow. Diana from Ohio stitched it up for us. The little pillow even has a pocket in the back to hold the tooth until the tooth fairy comes along. Thank you so much Diana, it is so sweet.

Andrea's Flowers
Hi everyone, I have been remiss in posting a few articles. Andrea (friend of my niece) did two cross-stitch pieces years ago and never quite knew what to do with them. She donated them to us so that we could use them to raise some more money for the charity. It is a beautiful basket of flowers with a straw hat - I am not sure of the designer but it looks like a Paula Vaughn design. Silly me forgot to get a picture of the smaller design Andrea stitched. It was a bowl of flowers, very pretty, I had it professionally framed and a friend bought it as a Christmas present for her mother-in-law. Thank you Andrea, they are beautiful pieces.

A Gift from Bob
Some small finished ornaments
I love the pink celtic knot, it also used an overdyed thread from a company which is now out of business. It is so pretty, as I was stitching it, it kept reminding me of the pink ribbon that represents breast cancer. Lots of hugs to them.
Louise
