Jaxon was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) 5 days after his second birthday (Feb 2011). His mother told me that Jaxon is the seventh (7th) child in Canada to be diagnosed with this rare disease.
I am his great-aunt Louise and I come up with the idea of this blog to keep people informed, and to use my passion for stitching to raise money for the FOP organizations.
Hi everyone, I hope that wherever you are, you have not been suffering from the humidity that we have had here in Ottawa the past couple of days. And then today.... no humidity, the temperature has dropped over 10 degrees Celcius and it's a tad chilly (my girlfriend Janice said it was cold and I said no, just a tad chilly!). lol
I have been working on another Bethlehem and it looks a little better than the last time I posted. Just a little note, the palm tree is not quite finished. I will edit the previous post where I gave a bit of erroneous information (oops). The design Bethlehem is from Imaginating, Inc and the designer is Diane Arthurs, I love the simplicity of her designs yet when finished, the piece is stunning. Thank you Diane, I appreciate all the hard work that goes into designing something that we can enjoy.
