Bethlehem - July 1st

Hi again, I know, I know - 2 postings in one day!!  I have to show you the progress that I have made on the Bethlehem.  It is so pretty, I am loving it.  I am almost halfway. Even though I am using overdyed floss, I am still stitching it as I normally stitch (in rows), I am not doing it X by X.  I did not want to have "stripes" in the pattern, I wanted a mottled effect.

    I love how that is turning out. Sometimes stitching the across the row and back "loses" the overdye, but this is turning out to be very pretty! And you're right, you,ve eliminated the stripes!
